Minutes - Annual Parish Meeting - 03 March 2026
PRESENT
Councillor Callan chaired the meeting.
- Clerk to Council, Mrs S Knowles and Deputy Clerk to Council Mrs R Fraser were in attendance
- County Councillor and District Councillor Cawrey was in attendance
- Thirteen members of the public were in attendance
1. TO CONFIRM THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING – 01 APRIL 2025
The minutes of the meeting held on 01 April 2025 were accepted as a true record and signed by the chairman.
2. TO RECEIVE A REPORT FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
The chairman thanked members, staff and volunteers for their work during the last year.
3. TO DISCUSS PLANNING APPLICATION 25/1585/OUT – LAND EAST OF CANWICK AVENUE WITH REPRSENTATIVE FROM VISTRY GROUP
A presentation was given by representatives of Vistry Group. Members of the public asked questions throughout the meeting on phasing and timing of the development; contributions through CIL and s106 and how this relates to delivery of infrastructure on the ground; separation of settlements and the proposed green wedge within the adopted broad concept plan; the presence of SUDs and the combination of these with recreation space and play areas; the lack of sustainable transport options and the need to rely on a vehicle to access retail, healthcare, schools etc; housing density and overdevelopment of the site; and sewage and capacity at local water treatment centres.
