Council vacancies - co-option to the council
Following the scheduled elections in May 2023, Bracebridge Heath Parish Council had an uncontested election. This means that the number of persons nominated were fewer than the seats available. The council is obliged to seek to fill the six vacant seats through co-option. Co-option is the process by which a resident is made a member of council through the choice of the present members.
Councillors make a huge difference to the quality of life of local people and how local issue are dealt with. We need people from all backgrounds and experiences who reflect the communities they serve to put themselves forward for election.
Could you become a councillor? We encourage anyone who is interested in this role to find out more by speaking with existing councillors and reading the information on our webpages about 'Becoming a Councillor'.
Please contact the clerk for more information. If you're ready to apply, please ask for a co-option form. See our contact details.
