Update on the Village Hall
Bracebridge Heath Parish Council is aware that the Village Hall has not been fully operational for some time and as a result, this has meant that a number of our village groups and organisations have been unable to meet and support residents in the way that they usually do. The council has been considering how it can assist in bringing the Village Hall back into use. On 15th March 2022, Parish Council resolved to terminate the lease with the Village Hall Management Committee.
We thank and acknowledge existing and former trustees and volunteers for their work in running the village hall.
What does this mean for the Village Hall?
Once reopened, the village hall will be owned and run by the Parish Council. This means that on a day-to-day basis employees of the Parish Council will manage the bookings, the repairs and any other aspect of the building. The management of the building will be overseen by the Parish Council.
When will the Village Hall reopen?
We anticipate that the village hall will remain closed for at least several months. In this time, the council will be carrying out a professional condition survey of the building. This will allow the council to identify repairs that are needed and will help to ensure that the building is fully compliant with health and safety legislation and guidance.
We will keep residents updated on this matter on our website and social media.
