We still have one vacancy for a parish councillor. Could this be you?

What is the role of a Parish Councillor?

Being a Parish Councillor is about representing the views of all residents within the parish. A councillor is also involved in making collective decisions, as part of the parish council, about local services such as open spaces, play areas, the community library, village hall and pavilion. Although voluntary and unpaid, this is a rewarding role within the community which is involved in identifying the issues which are important to the lives of residents and helping to shape the long-term development of the parish. Training is provided and expected.

The period of service for the vacancy will end in May 2023 when all seats on the council will be available for election.

Applications should be received by 30th August 2022. We strongly encourage prospective applicants to speak with existing members of council or the clerk for more information about the role. For full details and how to apply, please see our webpages.

For more information or to arrange a chat, please contact the Clerk or the Chairman of the Council
