An update on the telephone mast at the Recreation Ground
On Tuesday 6th September, the Parish Council considered an extension to the temporary licence for the telephone mast on the recreation ground. The telephone mast originally had a licence for 18 months and the Parish Council has reluctantly agreed to a further 6-month extension.
A permanent site has been secured for a telephone mast, which is at the Esso Garage on Sleaford Road. Details of the permanent site can be found on the NKDC Planning portal – Planning reference 21/1542/PNTEL. The operator insists that the permanent site will be ready by mid- February 2023 at the latest.
We understand that the telephone mast is not currently in the most suitable location. However, we also appreciate that telecommunications are vital for our community including residents, businesses and the emergency services. In permitting this extension, the parish council has requested regular updates from the operator on the progress of the permanent site and we will keep residents informed of this wherever possible.
