Information about the Remembrance Sunday service on 13th November 2022
Following the decision of St John the Evangelist Church to hold an outdoor service of remembrance, the council is providing support and assistance to ensure that residents are able to respectfully and safely observe and commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women. The service of Remembrance 2022 will be held on Sunday 13th November, beginning at 10.50am on the land directly behind the War Memorial.
Residents are welcome to attend this service which will be conducted by Reverend Jacqueline Bell. Invitations will also be extended to representatives of local groups and organisations who wish to lay a wreath at the War Memorial. Limited seating will be provided for those who are unable to stand for the service. Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.
A socially distanced service of Remembrance will also be held at 11am on Thursday 10th November in St John's Church.
