Land at the recreation ground
Following discussions with North Kesteven District Council and local business Rimmer Bros Ltd, the council has agreed to transfer the ownership of a small parcel of unused land at the western side of the Recreation Ground to Rimmer Bros. This is in return for a contribution of £5000 towards village gateways which will be installed at the three entrances to Bracebridge Heath. The fourth entrance, on London Road, is unfortunately not suitable for this street furniture due to limited space at the side of the highway. The village gateways will act as a traffic calming measure for vehicles entering Bracebridge Heath.
At the same meeting, the council also agreed to acquire some land at Rochester Close. This parcel of land is connected to ‘the hump’ and is adjacent to land already leased by the parish council.
