Consultation begins on the Bracebridge Heath Village Hall

Since May 2022, when the council took on the management of the Village Hall, it has become clear that the building needs a full refurbishment before it can be reopened.

The council has been working on some plans to not only refurbish but to extend and enhance the provision. Taking into account previous consultations, our vision is to create a single site for the village hall, library and community hub, meeting room and a small parish office. In carrying out this work, we hope to modernise and improve the hall for residents now and in the future.

From 14th December 2022 to 10th January 2023 we are consulting with residents, prospective and former hirers and all stakeholders to determine the level of support for the project. At this point we are asking our residents if they support the project to refurbish the building including the proposal for the council to borrow money to achieve this.

There are many steps involved in this project so it will take some time but our estimated completion and reopening date is December 2023. Please view the consultation material on our website, inside the library and also on the noticeboard outside the library.
