A new name
A new start and a new name! After much discussion and consideration, the council has agreed a new name for the village hall building; The Heath: Village Hall and Library.
With the new name we hope to have a new start for the building which will encompass the library and community hub, a meeting room, the main hall and a parish office. We’ve retained part of the former name for nostalgia but hopefully given the building a fresh identity.
Opening dates
We had hoped to be open for the start of January but unfortunately we have experienced some delays in the fitting of the new floor. The library is now scheduled to open on Monday 22nd January 2024. Please don't worry about returns as all loans have been automatically extended. The main hall is scheduled to open for hirers from 3rd February 2024.
The facilities
The library has now moved to its new home. With better facilities and a bigger space, we hope to be able to offer more of our popular library and hub events.
The main hall is available for hire. Being 150m2 and a total capacity of 200 people, this is going to be a popular space for local groups and businesses.
We also have a smaller meeting room available for hire which has a separate entrance, toilet and kitchen facilities. The meeting room seats up to 15 people.
