Bracebridge Heath Bowls Club

At a meeting held on 5th September 2023, Bracebridge Heath Parish Council considered the future of the Bracebridge Heath Bowls Club. Taking into account the low use of the site, low number of regular users and lack of committee, the council considered that the Bowls Club was no longer viable and could not fulfil its responsibilities as laid out in the Club Constitution. Whilst it is understood that the bowls green is in poor condition, the council felt that it could not make any commitments to repair the facility with the historically low usage and lack of committee to run it for the benefit of the community. The council has therefore unanimously agreed to give six months’ notice of the termination of the club.

The council intends to consult with the community about future uses for the site and looks forward to hearing residents’ views on this in due course.
