Minutes of a meeting of the Environment committee held at the Bracebridge Heath Library on 18th October 2021 at 19:00
Present: Cllrs Broad, Manders, Smith, Trought and Walker
In attendance: Mrs S Knowles, Clerk to Council
One member of the public was present. Cllrs Barr and Kilcoyne observed the meeting.
 
1. To consider apologies and accept valid reasons for absence – It was Resolved: That apologies from Cllr Blackmore be accepted. Cllr Walker arrived at the meeting at 19:01.
 
2. To receive members’ declarations of interest in accordance with the Code of Conduct – Nil
 
3. To confirm the minutes of the Environment committee held on 20th September 2021 - It was Resolved: That the minutes of the meeting held on 20th September 2021 be approved and signed as a true copy by the chairman.
 
4. To consider planning applications –
21 1246 FUL – Mere Hall Farm – It was Resolved: That the Council supports this application. No further comments.
21 1322 HOUS - 6 Heath Road It was Resolved: That no comments or objections be submitted
 
5. To consider arrangements for Remembrance Sunday -– A written report was received.
It was Resolved: That the report, Covid risk assessment and arrangements for Remembrance Sunday be accepted.
It was Resolved: That the Council purchase a wreath up to the value of £30 from the Royal British Legion using powers provided under s137, Local Government Act 1972.
 
6. Items for the agenda of the next committee meeting – Tree planting (Events group), Update on Tree Preservation Orders, Bus Shelters
 
There being no further business the chairman closed the meeting at 19:11
