Minutes of a meeting of the Playing Fields, Allotments & Open Spaces Committee held in Bracebridge Heath Community Library on 18th February 2019 at 19:30

Councillors Present: Cllrs Burley, Fletcher, Kilcoyne, Mrs Stamp, Mrs Walker, Ward (Chairman)

In attendance: Mrs S Knowles – Clerk to Council 1 member of the public were present

1. To consider apologies for absence and note the reason where appropriate – It was proposed, seconded and Resolved: That apologies be accepted from Cllr Clements.

2. To receive members’ declarations of disclosable pecuniary, non-disclosable pecuniary or non-pecuniary interests in relation to any agenda item – Nil

3. Minutes of the meeting held on 15th October 2018 - It was proposed, seconded and Resolved: That the minutes of the meeting held on 15th October 2018 be approved and signed as a true record by the Chairman.

4. To consider repairs/new equipment – Nil

5. To consider grass cutting / grounds maintenance – Members considered the tree inspection report. It was agreed that quotes be obtained to carry out essential works identified by the report.
a. To consider quotations for grass verge cutting – It was proposed, seconded and Resolved: That the quote for grass verge cutting for 2019/2020 from Glendale Managed Services be accepted.

6. To consider the allotments – A verbal report was given.

7. To consider the recreation ground – A verbal report was given.

8. To consider street furniture – litter bins, dog waste bins and seating- A verbal report was given.

9. To consider the bowling green –A verbal report was given.

10. To review and consider committee expenditure – Committee reviewed expenditure to date. Concerns were raised about the electricity use at the recreation ground. The clerk would investigate this.

11. Items for the agenda of the next committee meeting – Nil
