Minutes of a meeting of Bracebridge Heath Parish Council held at the Bracebridge Heath Community Hub and Library on 27th June 2023 at 7pm

In attendance: Clerk to Council, Mrs S Knowles and Deputy Clerk to Council, Mrs R Fraser
The chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
COUNCIL SESSION
Code of conduct reminders
Nolan Principles
Members were reminded of the Nolan Principles which underpin the Council’s Code of Conduct - Selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty & leadership.
Register of interests
The Chairman reminded members that they should submit to the Monitoring Officer at North Kesteven District Council any changes to the content of their
Register of Member Interest forms. Interests should be declared in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
23088. TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES AND ACCEPT VALID REASONS FOR ABSENCE - It was RESOLVED: That apologies for absence be accepted from Cllr Marden.
23089. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
a. TO RECEIVE MEMBERS’ DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ADOPTED CODE OF CONDUCT – Cllr Moran declared a non-pecuniary interest relating to a prospective tenderer.
b. TO RECEIVE AND CONSIDER MEMBERS’ REQUESTS FOR DISPENSATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ADOPTED CODE OF CONDUCT AND STANDING ORDERS – Nil
23090. TO CONSIDER ITEMS FOR INCLUSION ON THE AGENDA FOR THE NEXT MEETING – Items to be emailed to the Clerk.
It was RESOLVED: That the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the consideration of the following items on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information.
23091. TO CONSIDER A QUOTE FOR A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER REPORT FOR THE VILLAGE HALL – It was RESOLVED: That the quote from Steve Gilman Design for structural calculations and report be accepted.
23092. TO CONSIDER QUOTES FOR CDM CONSULTANCY AND APPOINT AN ADVISOR - It was RESOLVED: That the quote for CDM consultancy from Emprocom be accepted.
23093. TO NOTE NOMINATED SUB-CONTRACTORS / DESIGN CONSULTANTS FOR THE VILLAGE HALL PROJECT – The following suppliers were noted:
Freedom Fire and Security Maintenance Ltd for the design and installation of the fire alarm system
Shire Integrated Systems Ltd for the supply and installation of the Bushboard Washroom Products
Steve Gilman Design Ltd for the structural calculations and report
20:13 Cllr Trought left the meeting.
20:15 Cllr Trought returned to the meeting.
23094. TO CONSIDER AWARD OF THE TENDER FOR THE REFURBISHMENT AND EXTENSION OF THE VILLAGE HALL – It was RESOLVED: That the contract
for refurbishment and extension of the village hall be awarded to Clarke Group Construction Ltd. All tenderers to be notified of the decision as soon as possible and the standstill period will be provided for as appropriate.
