Minutes - Woodland and cemetery management sub-committee - 19th November 2018

Minutes of a meeting of Woodland & Cemetery Development sub-committee held on 19th November 2018 in the Bracebridge Heath Community Library at 7:30pm

Present: Cllr Mrs Humphrey, Cllr Mrs Manders, Cllr Mrs Trought (Chairman), Mrs Thomson, Mrs Varlow, Mrs Walker
In attendance Mrs S Knowles - Clerk to Council, Cllr Kilcoyne, Cllr Moran 
One member of public was present

1. To consider apologies for absence and note the reason where appropriate – Nil

2. To receive members’ declarations of disclosable pecuniary, non-disclosable pecuniary or non-pecuniary interests in relation to any agenda Mrs Varlow declared a non-pecuniary interest in matters relating to the burial ground.

3. To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 17th September 2018- It was proposed, seconded and Resolved: That the minutes of the meeting held on 17th September 2018 be approved and signed as a true record by the Chairman.

4. To receive an update on the community wood carving project – A written report was read at the meeting.

5. To receive an update on the woodland walk and burial ground – It was agreed that fairy doors could be displayed in the woodland walk during December.

  1. To consider preliminary results from the burial ground survey – No report was received. An update was requested for the next meeting.
  2. To consider the Bracebridge Heath War Memorial

Sub-committee session was suspended at 19:45 to enable Cllr Kilcoyne to comment. Sub-committee session resumed at 19:46

Volunteers would be sought to assist the Events Group with tidying the area around the war memorial.

6. To consider a project plan and vision for the woodland walk and burial ground – A verbal report was given.

  1. To consider a heritage trail - A verbal report was given

7. Additional items for the agenda of the next sub-committee meeting– Heritage trail.

There being no further business to the Chairman closed the meeting at 19:59
